A global leader in power electronics and energy-efficient systems, with the mission of providing innovative, clean and energy-efficient solutions, is looking for a General Manager to lead its Industrial Automation business across EMEA: a diverse, growing team across multiple countries, and the company's transformation into a leading supplier of smart-manufacturing solutions.
Based at the business's EMEA headquarters in Helmond, Netherlands, with flexibility: candidates should propose how they would manage the role, office-based or remote, while leading their teams effectively. A unique opportunity for a visionary leader to shape strategy, oversee cross-functional teams and execute business cases that drive organisational change, revenue and profit growth.
What you'll do
- Lead a team of 150+ employees across the Netherlands, Turkey, Italy and Spain with smaller teams in Germany, France and Dubai, and scale it to 300+ within five years
- Lead multiple functions including R&D and product development, sales and marketing, operations, support and services and potentially production, with full responsibility for team structure and hiring
- Hold P&L responsibility for the EMEA region, and develop and implement business cases that drive major organisational change
- Identify and execute opportunities for revenue growth, market-share expansion and new business development
- Manage mergers and acquisitions to enhance the company's capabilities
- Drive the transformation into a provider of smart-manufacturing solutions (machine and factory automation) and strengthen presence in European markets
What you'll bring
- Proven leadership of teams of 150+ with the ability to scale operations to 300+
- Deep experience in factory automation and smart-manufacturing solutions, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional teams
- A highly technical background balancing strategic and operational expertise, including leading R&D, sales and marketing, and product development
- Familiarity with P&L management, business-case development and M&A
- Flexibility for travel and relocation, and the ability to inspire diverse, geographically distributed teams, with strong communication and decision-making
- Fluent English; German advantageous
