linkedin-market-role

A staff-level design role in the filter team of a global RF semiconductor company, developing the next generation of filters and front-end modules for mobile devices, alongside specialists in LNAs, RF switches, power amplifiers, acoustic and SOI technologies and packaging.

The role

  • Developing BAW and SAW filter components for state-of-the-art wireless RF applications.
  • Designing microwave acoustic devices: bandpass, ladder, notch, CRF and acoustic-assisted filters.
  • Running acoustic and electromagnetic simulations, and delivering final device layout for photomask creation.
  • Working with process engineers and R&D on fabrication variation, and with characterisation and test teams to evaluate each device.
  • Supporting feasibility studies and competitive analysis for new products, and transferring new designs into production.

What is needed

  • A master's degree and six or more years in RF circuit design, EM simulation, layout, impedance matching, filter evaluation and RF characterisation.
  • Knowledge of front-end radio architecture, communication systems and microelectronic fabrication processes.
