The European semiconductor business of a global electronics group, managing sales and marketing for power semiconductors, high-frequency components and optoelectronics across EMEA, is looking for an Application Engineer for Technical Marketing in medium- and low-power semiconductors. Power semiconductors play a crucial role in decarbonisation, and the goal is to enable customers to develop efficient, sustainable solutions.
Hybrid, Ratingen near Düsseldorf, Germany, three days on-site, with around 30% national and international travel. The advantages of a medium-sized company combined with the benefits of a global, long-term-oriented corporation.
What you'll do
- Drive technical design-in activity with customers in collaboration with the sales team
- Monitor technological trends, conduct competitive analyses and report findings
- Develop proposals to optimise the product portfolio and define product strategies and roadmaps with headquarters
- Identify new market opportunities and define appropriate strategies
- Create promotional tools and product presentations, and deliver product and technical training for customers, distributors, trainees and the sales team
- Provide technical customer support, including design-in activity and quality-related issues
What you'll bring
- A degree in Power Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Five years of professional experience in power electronics
- Strong communication and presentation skills with persuasive ability
- An independent, self-driven, solution-oriented working style and a passion for intercultural collaboration
- Fluent English and willingness to travel
