A senior engineering role in an antenna research lab in Munich, part of the research centre of a global telecoms equipment company. The lab defines the technology strategy for next-generation, 6G, active and passive base station antenna systems, and closes the technology gaps to get there.
The role
- Developing and designing new solutions for future mobile communication antenna systems.
- Analysing RAN systems with a multifunctional engineering team, finding concepts and building engineering prototypes.
- Adapting solutions from other industries to improve antenna systems.
What is needed
- A bachelor's degree or higher in RF engineering; a PhD is a plus.
- At least five years in antenna RF system engineering.
- Proven expertise in antenna RAN system analysis and massive MIMO antenna systems, and a deep understanding of cellular antenna systems and complex wireless architectures.
- Proficiency with 3D electromagnetic simulation (for example CST), and familiarity with RF measurement systems.
- Fluent English.
C/C++ or Python, and machine learning methods, are a plus.
