A global power semiconductor company crafting the future of bipolar power, with a complete portfolio of industry-leading bipolar products including silicon-controlled rectifiers, power diodes, high-voltage transistors and silicon carbide, used across automotive, telecommunications, computing, consumer electronics, intelligent home appliances, lighting and power management, is looking for a Business Development / Field Application Engineer to drive design-in activity and technical support in Germany.

Home office, Germany.

What you'll do

  • Develop customer attack plans in alignment with the sales and marketing team
  • Deliver application knowledge and support design-in efforts to achieve design wins, and feed back customer insight and product requirements to marketing
  • Drive customer visits for technical presentations, demonstrations, reference boards and application manuals
  • Provide technical product training for customers, partners, distributors and sales colleagues, and proactively communicate product features and benefits
  • Spend roughly half your time supporting customers with product and technical questions, a fifth tracking design activity, a fifth on training, and the rest on market updates and business reviews

What you'll bring

  • Strong knowledge of business development and project management, with a clear understanding of design-in and design-win pipeline processes
  • A strong technical background in power-component applications; familiarity with WG and industrial segments, SMPS, UPS and high-power AC-DC design preferred
  • Solid knowledge of power discrete parameters, specification measurement and power-supply topologies
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Electronic Engineering and more than 5 years in technical support or R&D in the semiconductor industry
  • The ability to provide on-site technical support to key customers, a team-oriented approach with strong interpersonal skills, and confident written and spoken English presentation, with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
