An established high-power semiconductor manufacturer with decades of heritage in IGBT modules, power assemblies, bipolar devices and EV-focused power solutions, making a strategic investment in electrification and e-mobility across Europe, is looking for a Business Development Manager to drive new EV business across the DACH region, a key growth territory with strong OEM, Tier 1 and system-integrator presence.
Home office in Germany with regular travel across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. A senior, field-based, hunter-style role: opening strategic accounts, securing design-in wins and growing presence across EV OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers, leading engagement from early concept and architecture through to nomination and production, supported by global applications, R&D and product teams.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute a territory strategy for EV and e-mobility customers across the DACH region
- Identify and qualify new EV OEM and Tier 1 opportunities across traction inverters, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters and auxiliary power systems
- Proactively open new accounts and secure design-in and nomination wins
- Build trusted relationships with engineering, power-electronics design teams, procurement and senior decision-makers
- Drive technical-commercial discussions with applications and product management, managing opportunities from feasibility through pricing, negotiation and long-term supply agreements
- Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting, represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events, and feed back on competitor activity, pricing trends and customer requirements
What you'll bring
- Proven business development or technical sales in EV power electronics or automotive semiconductors
- A strong understanding of high-power EV applications: traction inverters, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters, high-voltage battery systems
- Experience selling IGBT modules, power modules or equivalent high-power semiconductor solutions
- An existing network within EV OEMs and/or Tier 1 automotive suppliers in the DACH region, and the ability to manage complex, long-cycle design-in and nomination processes
- Strong commercial negotiation and account development skills
- Fluent German and English, written and spoken, and willingness to travel regularly across Germany, Austria and Switzerland
