A consulting role as the trusted security advisor to a fixed portfolio of customers, for an international provider of managed security operations. Fully remote anywhere in Germany, or hybrid for those near Frankfurt. It is advice rather than tickets: no on-call duty, no night shifts and no sales targets.
The role
- Looking after a fixed customer portfolio as their first point of contact on cyber, IT and information security.
- Reviewing each customer's security posture in regular meetings, identifying risks and shaping their security strategy.
- Drawing on findings from the security operations centre, threat intelligence and incident response to explain alerts and threats in plain terms.
- Giving vendor-neutral recommendations on security architecture, hardening and risk reduction, across Active Directory, identity management, endpoint, cloud and network security.
- Helping customers plan and prioritise security measures, working with administrators, security teams, IT heads and C-level decision-makers.
What is needed
- Vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker/in Systemintegration), or a degree in cyber security, information security, computer science or IT.
- At least two to three years in cyber, information or IT security.
- Experience of customer contact, consulting or stakeholder management.
- Very good German and English.
- Command of at least three of: Active Directory and identity management, Microsoft Entra ID, networking, Windows and Linux security, hardening, endpoint security, firewalls, cloud and SaaS security, security monitoring and log analysis, security architecture and assessments.
Vulnerability and risk management, security operations, incident response, threat hunting, SIEM, threat intelligence and penetration testing are all an advantage.
