A leading manufacturer of power semiconductor modules, the go-to source for modules that drive motion-control, renewable-energy and power-supply applications, delivering off-the-shelf and made-to-order products fast and flexibly, is reinforcing its Chinese sales team with a home-based Field Application Engineer for power semiconductor modules.
Home-based, preferably in eastern China. You will support customers from the first technical question through design-in and design-win to the end of the product lifecycle, in a company that is a key enabler of efficient and affordable energy use.
What you'll do
- Lead the technical design-in process from first product presentation to product approval
- Win designs with existing customers and new prospects
- Give on-site technical advice and service at customers, such as thermal calculations and quality claims
- Maintain and expand productive, professional relationships with technical key personnel in strategic accounts
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D and product and technical marketing teams in Europe and with local sales managers on new business opportunities
- Run weekly reports summarising activities and plans for the week ahead
What you'll bring
- Solid technical experience in power semiconductor electronics (0.5 kW to 250 kW) in a B2B industry with sales cycles of up to two years, preferably industrial power conversion
- A BSc in Electrical Engineering, or at least five years as a Field Application Engineer or R&D Engineer
- Experience working independently with third parties and customers
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, with fluent spoken and written English and German
- A reliable, open-minded, convincing personality with a highly self-motivated, organised and well-structured working style
