A global leader in power electronics and energy-efficient systems is looking for an enthusiastic technical Field Application Engineer to help grow its Energy Infrastructure business in Europe, with a main focus on energy-storage systems in commercial, industrial and EV-charging applications.
Based in Hoofddorp, Netherlands, with occasional travel and on-site support for complex technical challenges.
What you'll do
- Provide accurate, timely technical support to sales and product marketing, and support the proposal process, preparing proposals and advising on solutions
- Manage technical customer requirements with product management and development from specification to customer acceptance
- Assist in identifying new market opportunities, and monitor local grid codes, legislation and standards
- Provide occasional on-site technical support for complex challenges, and support relationship management and service delivery to business customers in Europe
- Hold planning, installation and service training
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the company's product lines
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years with energy-storage systems or power-conditioning systems, with excellent technical knowledge of integrating different systems (interfaces and control)
- Fluent English and German, spoken and written, essential
- Installation experience or certification to work on 1000VAC and 1500VDC, an advantage
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and troubleshooting, the ability to specify customer requirements to product management and development, and the self-management to work independently within an international team
- Customer focus, good communication, occasional travel and a driving licence
