Field Application Engineer _ Industrial Automation , CZ & SK

A global leader in power electronics and energy-efficient systems, with a broad portfolio across industrial and building automation, telecom and data-centre power, EV charging, renewable energy and energy storage, is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Field Application Engineer to help expand its footprint in the Czech and Slovak industrial-automation markets, providing technical expertise and support to partners and customers.

Remote, with frequent travel within the Czech Republic and Slovakia and occasional travel to the EMEA team in the Netherlands.

What you'll do

• Actively participate in approaching targeted accounts in the pre-sale phase and present new products and solutions to current and potential customers
• Promote the company's robotics offering and wider industrial-automation solutions
• Support channel partners and customers in identifying and solving technical problems
• Support high-potential machine builders through complete conversions, including PLC programming from time to time
• Participate in training and communicate actively with the EMEA team
• Conduct benchmarking of industrial-automation products and solutions, and report periodically on technology and feature trends

What you'll bring

• A technical degree, preferably in Mechatronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years of hands-on industrial-automation experience
• The ability to program CODESYS-based PLCs and to build and support complete automation solutions including VSDs, motion products and HMIs
• Experience with robotics and machine vision, required; SCADA software a plus
• A general understanding of industrial-automation trends, main players and challenges in the region, a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with intercultural awareness, and excellent organisation, planning, analytical and presentation skills
• Native Czech or Slovak with English at B2 level, and a proven ability to work independently
