A global leader in power electronics and energy-efficient systems, a strong partner to the automotive, industrial-automation, building-automation, data-centre and renewable-energy industries, is looking for a Field Application Engineer for Robotics to demonstrate robots and applications to customers, own the technical side of pre-sales, and support error-free implementation on site.
Based in Stuttgart, Germany, with up to 30% business travel.
What you'll do
- Visit customers with sales colleagues and demonstrate robots and applications
- Own the technical requirements in pre-sales and develop technical solutions, acting as the link between the company, the customer and application partners
- Provide on-site technical support, solve technical problems and ensure error-free implementation of applications and demonstration models
- Present technical knowledge at trade fairs and customer meetings
- Educate and train customers and partners
What you'll bring
- A degree in a relevant subject (industrial engineering, robotics, automation, mechatronics, electrical engineering) or more than 3 years in a suitable professional field
- 2+ years in robotics, automation, programming, troubleshooting, training or development
- Familiarity with at least one industrial robot language and enthusiasm for programming controllers (Python, ROS 1, ROS 2, C++, Siemens)
- Experience with robotics projects and understanding of concepts such as position multiplication and forward and inverse kinematics
- High self-organisation and motivation with clear, efficient communication; fluent German and English (C1); a class B driving licence; good Microsoft 365 skills
