A leading global manufacturer of power semiconductors is looking for a Field Applications Engineer to support key customers across the EMEA region. The portfolio spans Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, IPMs, TVS, GaN and SiC, Power ICs and digital power products, used in everything from personal computers, graphics cards and games consoles to home appliances, smartphones and power tools.
Based in the Munich area (office or hybrid), reporting to the Regional Sales Director for Europe, with travel across EMEA and occasional trips to the USA and Asia (around 30-40%).
What you'll do
- Be the first line of technical support to customers' engineering teams, defining and nurturing design opportunities
- Work alongside sales and product-line colleagues to secure design wins
- Act as a component- and system-level expert in power electronics, with a focus on motor control and battery management
- Provide design-in support and technical training to customers and distribution partners
- Feed customer requirements back into new product development
What you'll bring
- A BS or MS in Electrical Engineering
- At least five years' experience in analogue hardware design for motor control and power supply applications
- Strong working knowledge of MOSFETs, IGBTs, driver ICs and DC/DC controllers
- Previous field technical-support experience in the power semiconductor industry, preferred
- Fluent English; German an advantage. A full (class B) driving licence is required
