Founding Software Engineer

A London AI startup re-inventing the way talent and opportunity meet, whose first product is an AI recruiter assistant that searches, vets, reaches out to and interviews candidates at scale while involving humans where necessary, has raised pre-seed funding and is looking for a Founding Software Engineer to be a key member of the founding team.

London, in-office. Your main responsibility is building a great product experience for customers, pushing the bleeding edge of agent-based LLM applications, as a key stakeholder in every important decision from prioritising problems through to release and maintenance. Mostly full-stack web work plus everything LLM-related, on a mostly TypeScript stack with Python and no-code tools where they fit.

What you'll do

• Discuss priorities and pragmatic solutions, going from vague specs to a minimal but satisfactory implementation fast, often with some design and user interaction
• Build new features across the front end and back end
• Make the assistant more intelligent by improving the LLM-agent architecture, including prompt engineering and vector databases
• Give it more data to work with by scraping relevant public sources and improving the data architecture
• Build out data infrastructure and dashboards

What you'll bring

• 4 to 6 years as a full-stack developer at a tech company, with recent experience at an early- or growth-stage startup
• Experience with React/Next, Node.js and SQL (Postgres), building features spanning front end, back end and infrastructure
• A track record showing ambition and excellence on hard problems, and side projects you're proud to share
• The drive to work hard as part of a team of top performers with the same attitude
• Experience building LLM-based apps, a nice-to-have
