Group Sales Manager, High-Power Semiconductors

An established high-power semiconductor manufacturer with over 60 years of heritage, a leading independent supplier of IGBT, bipolar, power-assembly and EV-system products whose devices enhance the reliability and efficiency of electrical energy control in power transmission, railway transportation, marine propulsion, fusion power, electric vehicles, renewable generation and industrial motor drives, is looking for a Sales Group Manager to manage, support and lead its sales team of around nine people and ensure sales targets are met.

Based in the UK, with travel to meet customers' needs. The focus is identifying new business and customers, raising brand awareness, achieving yearly sales targets and delivering complete customer satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Coach, direct, develop and manage the performance of the sales team, creating an inclusive, respectful and engaging environment
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, and develop sales strategies across products, services, industries, territories and route to market, implementing agreed marketing plans
• Analyse trends, data, pricing strategies and other information to maximise potential and improve sales performance, with accountability for target achievement
• Create and present regular performance reports for managers, the parent company and the board, with accurate, on-time forecasts and budget information
• Protect and build the company's reputation through first-class customer service, nurturing relationships to establish accurate product fit, and encouraging collaboration with customers and other bodies to jointly develop tailored products
• Take sales responsibility for customer contractual discussions and first-line review of terms, organise joint customer visits with other departments, ensure complaints and queries are handled efficiently, and attend trade shows

What you'll bring

• A significant, demonstrable track record of sales management experience
• Proven knowledge of high-power semiconductor devices and/or power electronics
