A leading German family-owned technology group, active in precious and special metals, medical technology, quartz glass, sensors and electronic components, is looking for a Head of Global Quality for its Electronics business unit, a leading supplier of advanced material solutions for the electronics packaging and component industry: bonding wires, assembly materials, thick-film pastes, substrates and their integration into optimised systems for power electronics, advanced semiconductor packaging and automotive electronics.
Based in the Frankfurt Rhine-Main area, Germany.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and execution of the global quality strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment across design, supply, manufacturing and customer-facing quality processes
- Lead the creation and maintenance of robust quality-assurance frameworks for all products and processes
- Oversee quality-control measures at every stage of the product lifecycle, from design through to final delivery
- Drive global initiatives to enhance product quality, optimise testing and reduce defects and rework
- Proactively identify product-quality, safety and compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Build, lead and mentor a high-performing team of quality professionals, and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and regulatory bodies
What you'll bring
- A master's degree in Engineering (Materials Science, Physics, Electronics) or a related field
- At least 10 years of progressive quality-management experience in the electronics or automotive industry, with a strong preference for sensor technology
- Proven experience leading global quality initiatives and managing quality teams across multiple regions and cultures, with a focus on team development
- Effective communication and stakeholder management with technical and non-technical audiences
- A strategic mindset that delivers long-term goals while managing day-to-day operations, and a passion for quality, innovation and continuous improvement
- Fluent English
