Key Account Manager – Automotive / EV

An established high-power semiconductor manufacturer with decades of heritage in IGBT modules, power assemblies, bipolar devices and EV-focused power solutions, investing heavily in electrification and e-mobility, is looking for a Key Account Manager to manage and grow strategic OEM accounts in the German automotive market.

Home office in Germany with regular travel, occasionally international. You will develop long-term partnerships with leading German car manufacturers and key Tier 1 suppliers, driving design-in activity and securing new business across EV and electrification platforms.

What you'll do

• Manage and grow strategic automotive OEM accounts in Germany, with account plans aligned to the EV growth strategy
• Build relationships across power-electronics engineering, procurement and sourcing, and programme and platform management
• Drive design-in and nomination activity for traction inverters, onboard chargers, DC/DC converters and high-voltage battery systems
• Identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts and affiliated Tier 1 suppliers
• Lead commercial negotiations including pricing, contracts and long-term agreements
• Coordinate with global applications, R&D and product management, support customers from concept to production, and maintain accurate forecasting and market intelligence

What you'll bring

• Proven key account management, business development or technical sales in automotive semiconductors, power electronics or EV systems
• A strong understanding of EV applications: traction inverters, OBC / DC/DC, high-voltage systems
• Experience with German automotive OEMs and an existing network within OEMs and/or Tier 1 suppliers in Germany
• Experience managing complex, long-cycle design-in and nomination processes, with strong commercial and negotiation skills
• The ability to engage both technical and executive stakeholders; fluent German and English
