A major global power-electronics and traction-systems group, expanding its commercial presence in automotive EV and electrified-powertrain markets, is looking for a Key Account Manager to own and develop strategic relationships with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers in South Korea. The group designs and manufactures advanced power semiconductor solutions and power-conversion technologies for rail traction, industrial electrification, energy systems and, increasingly, EV applications.
Home-based in South Korea with regular travel within the country. A senior, customer-facing account-ownership role focused on long-term programme engagement, design-in support and commercial growth, not a pure hunter role.
What you'll do
- Own and develop key automotive EV customer accounts in South Korea
- Build strong relationships with OEM and Tier 1 engineering, purchasing and programme stakeholders
- Represent the group's power semiconductor and power-electronics solutions: IGBT modules, power modules and assemblies, and high-voltage, high-current devices
- Support customer design-in, qualification and nomination processes, as the primary commercial interface to internal teams
- Drive account growth through new vehicle programmes, platform expansions and long-term supply agreements
- Lead pricing discussions, commercial negotiations and contract alignment, and feed back on customer roadmaps, competitor activity and market trends
What you'll bring
- Experience in key account management, sales or business development in automotive or power-electronics markets, with leading Korean automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers
- Exposure to EV powertrain, inverter or high-power electronic systems
- Familiarity with high-power semiconductor products such as IGBTs, power modules or power assemblies
- The ability to manage long-cycle automotive development and nomination processes, with strong stakeholder management
- Fluent Korean and English, and willingness to travel regularly within South Korea
