A global semiconductor company is looking for a Power System Marketing and Architecture specialist to join the team that is the face of its Power product group: a catalyst team driving strategic system-architecture projects, providing power-market guidance to sales and business divisions, and acting as a voice of the customer that shapes roadmaps and new-product definition by highlighting trends, new technical requirements and emerging power architectures.
Members combine business and technical marketing skills roughly 50/50: system experts with business acumen, supporting the full power portfolio across all market segments and forming worldwide champions for a focus application cluster, working as one team of system marketers and system architects.
What you'll do
- Analyse market segments and serviceable market for power, and the trends that change architectures and power-component bills of materials
- Benchmark competitors' power portfolios against the company's to highlight value propositions and gaps in portfolio and roadmap
- Generate collateral for the focus application area: market and competition analysis, portfolio gap analysis, system block diagrams, system simulations and demonstration boards realised with third-party design houses and the team's laboratory
- Provide power-roadmap feedback to all product lines and explore power megatrends to propose go-to-market approaches
- Report on design-in progress against targets by segment and region, and join opportunity reviews with sales and product lines to drive focus to key opportunities
- Organise power events and conferences, and provide content for marketing campaigns, articles, webcasts and brand communication
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related; MBA a plus
- A proven track record in business development within the semiconductor industry, specifically power products, with at least 10 years in business development and/or marketing
- A strong understanding of power-management ICs, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery management, Si and wide-bandgap devices and other trending power architectures
- System knowledge of a key market segment, able to generate detailed block diagrams and populate them with power parts to address the entire application
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English is a must, and a local Asian mother tongue an added advantage
- The ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment: team building, open-minded, business-oriented, self-initiating and committed to continuous learning
