A global semiconductor company is looking for an experienced Principal Business Development Specialist to address its customers' growth plans across EMEA and drive design-ins and pipeline for critical power components, controllers, drivers, PMICs, point-of-load, battery-management solutions, MOSFETs, IGBT, GaN and SiC, across all sectors and segments, leveraging the full power portfolio in a system approach.
Based in Europe, as part of the worldwide Power business-development team, with domestic and international travel up to 35%.
What you'll do
- Drive power growth in key market segments by identifying and pursuing new business, and build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities and design-ins across power-management ICs, discrete power devices (Si, GaN, SiC), battery-management solutions and more
- Collaborate with the product-line team to shape roadmaps aligned to market demand, and lead cross-selling of the full range of power products and solutions
- Work with systems and solution marketing to influence their roadmap and create collateral for early customer engagement: customer and market intelligence, architectural trends, competitor analysis and segment fighting guides
- Drive periodic opportunity reviews (funnel, design-ins, revenue) with sales and product lines to increase visibility of customer opportunities and focus on new and key ones
- Report monthly on opportunity progress and funnel increments by region and product line, and implement tactics with sales and local BD teams to meet revenue and design-in targets
- Take part in promotion at customers, sales events, and technical and commercial conferences and shows
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related; MBA a plus
- A proven track record in business development within the semiconductor industry, specifically power products, with at least 10 years in business development and/or marketing, or longer in FAE or sales
- A strong understanding of power-management ICs, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery management, Si/GaN/SiC and other trending power architectures
- Documented system knowledge of a key industrial or automotive segment, able to generate detailed block diagrams and populate them with power parts to address the entire application
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluent English is a must, with German, French, Italian or Spanish an added advantage
- The ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment: team building, open-minded, business-oriented, self-initiating and committed to continuous learning
