Sales Director Europe, EV Motor Controllers and Power Modules

A fast-growing technology company specialising in motor controllers and power modules for new-energy vehicles, with strong technology, solid financial backing and a recognised position in its home market, is expanding in Europe and looking for a Sales Director to lead business development and build its European customer base. It already operates an engineering centre in Germany and generates revenue there; the next step is a leader who can turn strong technical capability into commercial success.

Home-based in Germany, with regular visits to the German engineering centre and frequent customer travel across Europe. A key leadership role for someone entrepreneurial, building the European sales function almost from scratch with the support of a highly skilled technical team and colleagues at headquarters.

What you'll do

• Lead sales and business development across Europe
• Translate technical strengths into commercial opportunities and long-term partnerships
• Accompany engineers on customer visits, handling both commercial and technical discussions
• Identify and open doors in passenger cars, commercial vehicles, special vehicles (construction, agricultural machinery) and industrial drives
• Build and grow a local sales team as the business scales
• Act as the bridge between the European market and the sales and management teams at headquarters

What you'll bring

• Sales or business-development experience within automotive (passenger or commercial), special vehicles or industrial drives
• Product knowledge of motor controllers, power modules or e-drive systems; knowledge of SiC/IGBT power semiconductors a strong plus
• A true self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable working independently and shaping a business
• A strong understanding of the German and European business environment
• Fluent German and English
