A leading global semiconductor company is looking for a skilled Senior Field Application Engineer to act as the technical champion for its secure silicon and smartcard solutions across assigned customers in EMEA, working closely with sales and marketing to identify, develop and execute new business while ensuring customer satisfaction through strong technical support and relationships.
Hybrid, based near Paris, France.
What you'll do
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers on secure silicon and smartcard solutions, and identify and win new design-in opportunities with sales and marketing
- Deliver technical sales presentations, roadmap updates and customer training
- Manage and resolve technical challenges for smooth design-in, qualification and mass-production ramp-up, with quick responses on hardware and software troubleshooting and compatibility
- Liaise between customers and internal marketing, product-planning and applications teams on industry trends and requirements
- Oversee project management for customer evaluations, design-in, qualification and production schedules, and coordinate PCN communications and quality investigations
- Stay current on industry standards, certification schemes (Common Criteria, EMVCo) and smartcard protocols (ISO 7816, ISO 14443)
What you'll bring
- A BSEE; MSEE preferred
- 5+ years in design, product, test, systems or application engineering, with expertise in secure silicon and smartcard solutions across SIM, eSE, banking or ID
- Strong knowledge of Java Card OS, MCU software and OS, ARM SC000/SC300 and cryptography (RSA, ECC, AES), and familiarity with hardware and software security and certification schemes
- Proficiency in embedded application design, security processes and programming in C and assembly, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Proven customer support, project management and cross-cultural coordination experience, able to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent written and spoken English, French preferred; proficient in Microsoft Office and professional presentations
