Technical Sales Manager, High-Power Semiconductors

An established high-power semiconductor manufacturer with over 60 years of heritage, supplying IGBT, bipolar, power-assembly and EV-system products to customers worldwide and in a significant period of growth, is looking for an experienced Technical Sales Manager to support its Sales and Marketing division in Germany: a brand-new role supporting the continued growth of the product range in the German market.

Based in Germany with travel across the country to engage current and new customers in person, plus frequent domestic and international travel. The company will support and develop the right person, so it suits someone keen to learn and take on a new challenge.

What you'll do

• Identify and support German customers' new design-project needs through in-depth, hands-on technical expertise
• Work closely with customers' engineering teams to provide creative, innovative design solutions and technical support
• Create, develop and maintain effective customer relations, responding to queries within 48 hours
• Undertake customer visits, ensuring all information reaches prospective and current customers promptly
• Deliver sales presentations to a high standard
• Act as company ambassador at external events

What you'll bring

• Experience working in Germany and/or supporting German customers or suppliers within the semiconductor industry, with a solid understanding of the German semiconductor market and trends
• Around 2 years' minimum exposure in a technical engineering environment
• Knowledge of power semiconductor devices and experience of the EV market
• Demonstrable skill in building customer relationships, and experience with people from a wide range of cultures
• Fluent spoken and written German and English
