A global power semiconductor company specialising in discrete, analogue and power semiconductor devices for power conversion, power management and motor control across industrial, automotive and consumer applications is looking for a Technical Sales Manager to grow its business in the United States. The role is home-based and remote within the USA.
You will own a regional sales territory and be the primary technical sales contact for customers and distribution partners across it, driving demand creation, new design wins and profitable growth.
What you'll do
- Identify and develop new customers and drive incremental growth through demand-creation activities
- Own and manage the distributor relationship matrix and develop multi-year distribution business plans
- Lead design-in and design-win activity with representatives, distributor product managers, FAEs and engineering teams
- Run regular business reviews with distributors and representatives, tracking performance and acting on gaps
- Develop joint marketing programmes, events and training with distribution partners
- Provide market intelligence, competitive analysis and customer feedback to support planning
What you'll bring
- Established sales experience with channel management and distributor management, and ownership of a regional sales territory; a product-marketing or customer-development background alone does not meet the bar
- Based in the United States
- At least 10 years in sales and marketing, including 5+ years of regional semiconductor sales
- Experience in power semiconductors and power discrete devices, and AC-DC / DC-DC, SMPS, UPS, inverter, industrial or consumer applications
- A bachelor's degree, ideally in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, proven ability across representative, distribution, EMS and OEM business models, excellent English communication and presentation skills, and willingness to travel
