A global semiconductor company is looking for an experienced Business Development Lead to address the explosive growth driven by AI in data centres and data infrastructure, driving new business and growth in data-communication infrastructure by leveraging its power portfolio and technologies across all key applications from grid to SoC.
Part of the worldwide Power business-development team, with domestic and international travel around 25% of the time.
What you'll do
- Drive power growth in the data-infrastructure segment by identifying and pursuing new business, and build a strong pipeline of opportunities and design-ins across power-management ICs, discrete power devices (Si, GaN, SiC), battery-management solutions and more
- Collaborate with the product-line team to shape roadmaps aligned to market demand, and lead cross-selling of the full range of power products and solutions
- Work with systems and solution marketing to influence their roadmap and create collateral for early customer engagement: customer and market intelligence, architectural trends, competitor analysis and segment fighting guides
- Drive periodic opportunity reviews (funnel, design-ins, revenue) with sales and product lines to increase visibility and focus on new and key opportunities
- Report monthly on opportunity progress and funnel increments by region and product line, and implement tactics with sales and local BD teams to meet revenue and design-in targets
- Take part in promotion at customers, sales events, and technical and commercial conferences and shows
What you'll bring
- A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related; MBA a plus
- A proven track record in business development within the semiconductor industry, specifically power products, with at least 10 years in business development and/or marketing
- A strong understanding of power-management ICs, AC/DC and DC/DC converters, battery management, Si/GaN/SiC and other trending power architectures
- System knowledge of data infrastructure, communication, data centres, wireless and wired access, and edge and core networks, able to generate detailed block diagrams and populate them with power parts
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with fluent English a must
- The ability to drive results in a fast-paced environment: team building, open-minded, business-oriented, self-initiating and committed to continuous learning
