The number to notice is 2000V, not the connector. Utility-scale PV has been moving from 1500V for a while and each step up rewrites the string architecture, the protection scheme and the inverter behind it. A connector rated for it is a sign that the rest of the chain is being built.
For hiring that means string inverter and PCS engineers who have actually worked above 1500V, and they are thin on the ground. Most people who understand creepage, clearance and arc behaviour at those voltages learned it in traction or grid equipment rather than in solar, which is where the shortlist for this work usually comes from.

This is one of the markets we recruit in every day. Energy storage and solar are power electronics markets wearing different clothes. Inverters, PCS and grid-tie hardware draw on the same engineering and often the same people, which is why searches here reach into the power semiconductor pool.
Send the role, or send your CV, and it reaches Ramon rather than a queue. If it is not something we can do well, you will be told that straight away rather than a month from now.
