The interesting word here is not GaN, it is American. Moving a GaN process onto a US foundry line creates a category of role that barely existed a year ago: process integration and device engineers who know wide bandgap and are already inside the United States.
That pool is small and it is being drawn on by everyone onshoring at once. European employers competing for the same people should assume the American offer is materially higher, because for these roles it usually is.
