About Global Technology Recruitment.

Global Technology Recruitment was founded to help advanced technology companies build world-class teams across semiconductors, power electronics, industrial automation and related markets. The focus is simple: quality over volume, and connecting businesses with the specialised talent they need to grow.

LinkedIn profile for Ramon Lochner

Born in Brighton with German-Malaysian roots, Ramon brings a global perspective to every search. Fourteen years recruiting in these markets, with clients and candidates across Europe, Asia and North America, have taught him that successful hiring is about more than matching skills to a job description. It takes technical understanding, market knowledge, and the ability to build a relationship that lasts beyond the placement.

Clients range from innovative start-ups and scale-ups to global technology leaders.

What it is like to work with him

Written by people who reported to Ramon earlier in his career, and published by them on LinkedIn.

I have never worked under the guidance of someone with as much drive, passion and commitment as Ramon. He led by example with his concise and effective approach style, yet always had time to guide and assist all of his team members.

Tom Edmonds

I worked with Ramon for several years in my first recruitment position. He proved to be a terrific teacher of the profession as well as being adept at getting the best out of me.

Patrick Andrews

He was an excellent team leader who always found time to assist with my development. Still 5 years down the line and I still make sure picking up the phone for ten calls before 10am is the first thing I do.

Sam Gladwin

Fourteen years, the same markets

Ramon has recruited across semiconductors, power electronics and the technologies around them since 2012, through five firms and four countries. The firms changed. The markets did not.

  1. 2012 – 2016

    Brighton

Started in specialist technology recruitment, headhunting across IGBT, MOSFET, SiC, SMPS and motion control for the DACH region. Went on to lead a team doing the same.

  2. 2017 – 2018

    Singapore

Electronics, semiconductor and cyber security hiring across Singapore, South East Asia and the wider APAC region. The reason GTR can work Asian markets rather than talk about them.

  3. 2018 – 2021

    Brighton, then Munich

Led delivery teams in global semiconductor and optoelectronics search, then headed a semiconductor division outright, building the client base across the deep-tech ecosystem.

  4. 2021 – 2024

    Europe

Team lead for technical recruitment across the DACH region and wider Europe, personally running the complex and hard-to-fill searches.

  5. 2024 –

    Munich

Founded Global Technology Recruitment, to run searches the way he thought they should be run: one recruiter, start to finish, in the markets he already knew.

How a search actually runs

How we work

You deal with the person running the search

Ramon takes the brief, does the headhunting and builds the shortlist himself. There is no researcher you never meet, and no handover once the terms are signed. When you ask why somebody is on the list, the answer comes from the person who spoke to them.

Most of this work is never advertised

The people who fit these roles are usually employed, well paid and often not looking when we call, so a search is a direct approach rather than a campaign. Roles are still listed here and applying is a good way in. The conversation is the same either way, because what matters is what you have built, not how we found you.

The market is the specialism

Fourteen years in semiconductors and power electronics is fourteen years of knowing which companies are really hiring, who reports to whom, and which teams are worth leaving. It is also why German language requirements get screened properly rather than taken on trust from a CV, which is where most DACH shortlists quietly fall apart.

GTR was founded in 2024. Behind it are fourteen years of running searches in these markets, most of them inside other people’s firms. It is narrow on purpose: fewer clients, fewer roles at a time, and enough room in the week to actually work them.

Tell us what you are trying to hire

Send the role, or send your CV, and it reaches Ramon rather than a queue. If it is not something we can do well, you will be told that straight away rather than a month from now.
